Once we entered our jeep for the day which was crystal clean he informed that we had 2 bottles of water each, and that however we would like the air con to let him know throughout the trip and he would be make it to our best comfort. Our Tour Guide- Michael was absolutely fantastic, from the get go Michael was so helpful, he even gave us a ride back up to our hotel room (which is all the way at the top of a hill) for my girlfriend to swap over into more “ comfortable” shoes as he was worried she would struggle with the terrain in flip flops LOL!. Stay away I would suggest as cutting corners on safety is the beginning to many other potential prop lens of this tour operator. The employees seem lovely but the owner who overbooked and forced his employees to break the law and decided to offload the original passengers instead of make other arrangements for the two extra passengers is not a good person. If this hadn’t happened I am sure we would have had a lovely experience, but it did and it completely spoilt our last day in Crete. There was no interest in safety or following the laws. I called the owner and he said “I have given your money back what else do you want me to do”.

This company was ready to put their passengers and my kids at risk, break the law, put their employees in uncomfortable positions ( the driver said he knew it was not ok, but his boss said he had to put 10 in). So we had to split into two groups and ask the taxi to book another one. They booked one taxi (max 4 passengers) for 5 of us to get back to our hotel and then told us off for complaining that we needed a taxi for 5 or two taxis. They left us in that village square with a cash refund. Instead of continuing with the passengers he had and making other arrangements for the additional two passengers (who we had not seen yet), the owner of the company said he would off load us from the trip (family of 5) for complaining and take the two new bookings.
The rules in Greece are that all passengers need seatbelts and with my kids and windey mountain roads I was not happy. We were then taken to a village square and on the way the driver/guide said we would be adding two to more to the trip and 4 people would have to squeeze into the middle seat meant for 3. We visited a olive oil factory (which was only a bottling plant (no machines working when we visited) and tasting 3 oils and a shop - not an olive in sight)). We were picked up by a lovely French guide and two other passengers. We were given the option for a refund but we were looking forward to it so agreed. The first bit of bad news was that we got a text the day before saying that the landrover was not available and we were in a minibus (9 seater). Booking through trip advisor was easy enough. Lunch will be at the hatta fort hotel and after lunch, we will return to Dubai.This was supposed to be a fabulous day trip and our family of two adults and 3 children were looking forward to it as a super end to our holiday in Crete.
